What is Hanbee Clash Bots?
Hanbee Clash Bots is a robot combat competition where remotely controlled robots, designed and built by teams, fight each other in an arena.
History of Hanbee Clash Bots:
Inspired by the popular BattleBots competition, Hanbee Clash Bots was founded to promote innovation, creativity, and STEM education.
Key Components:
1. Robots: Custom-built, remotely controlled machines designed for combat.
2. Arena: An enclosed space where battles take place.
3. Teams: Builders, designers, and operators of the robots.
4. Judges: Evaluate battles and declare winners.
Competition Format:
1. Tournaments: Single-elimination brackets.
2. Matches: 3 minute battles.
3. Weight Classes: Divided into featherweight, lightweight, middleweight, heavyweight, and super heavyweight.

Pre-Match Rules:
1. Robot Inspection: All robots must undergo a thorough inspection by the judges before the match to ensure compliance with the rules.
2. Weight Classes: Robots are divided into three weight classes: Lightweight (Up to 5 kg), Middleweight (5-10 kg), and Heavyweight (Above 10 kg).
3. Power Source: Robots must be powered by electric motors only.
4. Match Schedule: The match schedule will be announced before the competition, and teams must be ready to compete at the scheduled time.
Match Rules:
1. Match Duration: Each match will last for 3 minutes.
2. Arena Specifications
· Arena Size: The arena size is 4m x 4m (13.1ft x 13.1ft).
· Arena Surface: The arena surface is smooth, flat, and slip-resistant.
· Obstacles: The arena may include obstacles, such as ramps, tunnels, or other challenges.3. Starting Position: Robots will start from opposite corners of the arena.
4. Gameplay: Robots will engage in a one-on-one battle, with the objective of knocking out or disabling the opponent's robot.
5. Scoring: Points will be awarded based on the outcome of the match:
· Knockout: 5 points
· Out of the arena: 3 points
· Disablement: 2 points
· Time-out: 1 point (if a robot is unable to move or respond for 30 seconds)
6. Penalties: Penalties will be given for unsportsmanlike conduct, including:
1. Intentional damage to the arena or opponent's robot
2. Interference with the opponent's robot or the match officials
3. Failure to comply with the match officials' instructions
Robot Specifications:
1. Size: Robots must fit within a under prism of 60 cm x 60 cm x 60 cm.
2. Weight: Robots must comply with the weight class rules.
3. Power Source: Robots must use a safe and approved power source, such as batteries or electric motors.
4. Safety Features: Robots must have safety features to prevent injury to humans, including:
1. Protective covers for sharp edges or points
2. Emergency shutdown systems
3. Compliance with safety standards for electrical and mechanical components
Winning Conditions
1. Knockout: A robot is considered knocked out if it is unable to move or respond for 30 seconds.
2. Disablement: A robot is considered disabled if it is unable to move or respond due to damage or malfunction.
3. Time-out: If a robot is unable to move or respond for 30 seconds, it will be considered timed out.
Post-Match Rules
1. Robot Removal: Robots must be removed from the arena immediately after the match.
2. Damage Assessment: Robots will be inspected for damage after the match, and any necessary repairs must be made before the next match.
Disqualification
1. Unsportsmanlike Conduct: Teams may be disqualified for unsportsmanlike conduct, including intentional damage to the arena or opponent's robot.
2. Rule Violations: Teams may be disqualified for violating the rules, including using unauthorized components or exceeding the weight limit.
Appeals
1. Protest: Teams may protest a match result or decision by submitting a written appeal to the judges within 30 minutes of the match.
2. Judges' Decision: The judges' decision is final, and their ruling will be binding.
Additional Rules
1. Team Members: Each team can have a maximum of 2-5 members.
2. Robot Modifications: Robots can be modified or repaired between matches, but must comply with the robot specifications.
3. Match Interruptions: If a match is interrupted due to technical issues or other unforeseen circumstances, the match will be restarted from the beginning.
